Eight Ladies Writing

Jilly blogs about reading, writing and life in general every other Sunday over at Eight Ladies Writing.

8LW is a group blog written by eight friends who met online in 2012 as students in the inaugural Romance Writing Program at McDaniel College. Some of the Ladies are published. Some are still striving towards that goal. They’ve been blogging together since 2013 and they’re still going strong.

  • Day 1: “Runaway Match”
by Jilly Wood on December 1, 2021 at 7:33 pm

Welcome to the 8LW 25 Days of Stories.  In the early days of this blog, we kicked of our annual “Christmas Week Short Story Challenge” — a holiday version of our Friday Writing Sprints.  The resulting stories, which all started with a common prompt and set of random words, were as different as those of

  • Jilly: Taking A Break
by Jilly Wood on April 18, 2021 at 5:00 am

Are you looking forward to the summer? Feeling ready for a break? Me, too. I haven’t even taken the tube into town, except for one unavoidable hospital
